Architectural Control Committee

The Claymont North Homes Association By-Laws provide for the creation of an Architectural Control Committee to oversee the maintenance and improvement of neighborhood properties for the common good. Our Charter also includes  covenants restricting certain types of construction and other home features which are binding upon residents. Some of these are guidelines which are subject to change over time while others are "cast in stone".

Residents are required to submit a simple application with descriptive plans for any exterior modifications to either their home or their landscaping to the Architectural Control Committee for approval. Click here to obtain a copy of the form.

The Architectural Control Committee keeps very busy, and would welcome any neighbors who'd like to participate in their duties which include:

  • Reviewing homeowner applications for exterior improvements
  • Evaluating new building techniques and materials to determine whether they are appropriate for our neighborhood
  • Advising the Board on the impact of regulatory changes on our architectural rules and standards
